unknown. Loose pages of drawings made in pencil and watercolor from a
sketchbook of textile design patterns dated from 1896 in France. A few years
ago, I found a stack of these drawings at a flea market in Paris from a vendor
who sold vintage textiles and design antiques. I went through the pile and I
ended up buying about eighty pages of these beautiful abstract works. The
loosely elegant rendering of the botanical and biomorphic patterns illustrated
reminded me of old medical illustrational charts from universities and schools
in the 19th century. Each of these designs/drawings were made as studies to
compare and clash illustrative design and color patterns side by side to see
how they functioned alongside each other. Some of the illustrations also contain
a mixture of esoteric numerology, symbology and modernist patterns. Posted

several of Bob Zoell’s street parking signs hanging inside of my home. Zoell
had his aluminum signs manufactured at LADOT, the company which produces the
official street signs for the City of Los Angeles. Zoell has always been one of
my favorite artists from L.A and he’s been very active these past years making
great paintings. Posted by @cj96tears Cameron

oil painting by K. Kunkas. Title and date is unknown.
I found this surrealist inspired painting at the Goodwill store in Reseda, Calfornia in 1987. This painting has lived and moved around with me ever since between the San Fernando Valley, East Hollywood and for the past twenty years in Paris, France. Posted by Cameron Jamie @cj96tears

About 12 years ago I was walking home from my old studio in Montreuil and I saw this very ragged and aged rockabilly guy having a yard sale selling items on the street in front of his house. The man also had a blanket laid out with a large art portfolio filled with very crude hallucinatory drawings and paintings. I asked him if the artworks in the portfolio were his and he replied, yes. I looked through the pile of squashed artworks crammed inside of the portfolio and I picked out the painting which I’m posting. This little painting now leans against the wall on a bookshelf in my bedroom.
