Gladstone Gallery to Open Space in Seoul, Korea
Opening Spring 2022

September 2, 2021  Gladstone Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening of a new gallery in Seoul. The space will be located in the Gangnam area of Seoul, and will be led by HeeJin Park, Director, and Jessica Park, who recently joined the gallery as the Managing Director of the space in Seoul.

Barbara Gladstone notes, “We are very happy to share the news that Gladstone will officially begin to expand its physical footprint to Asia. We have a long history of artists showing at some of Korea’s most prestigious institutions, including a significant exhibition for Matthew Barney at the Leeum in 2005, and many more. We look forward to deepening our relationships with the local arts community with the support of our team based in Seoul, and also providing our artists with this exceptional new outlet to present their work to new international audiences.”

HeeJin Park notes, “This is an exciting moment for the gallery and the greater Seoul art world. The Gangnam area of the city is a vibrant location with its own burgeoning art scene, so we are happy to embed ourselves into the fabric of this neighborhood at this significant moment of growth. Having worked for Gladstone for some time now, I have worked to help educate the Korean audience about our incredible artists, and l am thrilled to have this opportunity to present exhibitions and special projects with our artists here. We look forward to announcing more information and welcoming you to the Gallery soon.”

Gladstone Gallery Seoul will be opened to the public Tuesday – Friday from 10am to 6pm, and by appointment on Saturday. Our inaugural program and opening date will be confirmed later this fall.
